Too bad something interesting wasn't done with it.

Any idea where the materials are bound?

If I recall correctly (and I may not), the one building to the left in the street view photo contained an area that was used for removing and reworking the wheels for train cars. Back around '95 or '96, while working for a hydraulics company in the area, I had to rebuild the hydraulics on the "table" used for changing out the wheels.
